I need to make more time for this.
Stumbling upon so many good pieces of work from the Facebook page for deviantART, they need to be shown to everyone!

Uni is starting soon! :D Finally, stuff to keep me busy from the horrible holidays that have gone by...I still miss you dearly...

Anywho, here is the cutest piece of all time :D Here is He Gave Me The Brightest Star by borda
That is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cuuuuuuuuteeeeeeee <3 There is sooo much in this image. For example, the night sky with lots and lots of light-bulbs. The hot air balloon aka light bulk aka moon. The boy, dropping down the light bulb. It's just epic on an epic scale XD Mmmmmmm, sooo goood :D

It's been a while, hasn't it? Haven't really found the time to keep up with this :(
Been trying to become more Asian over the past few weeks - learnt how to play Dota!

Mmm. Soon.

Uni starts again in just over a month! Wheeee, finally! These holidays couldn't end sooner.

Played tennis today! Gosh, what an ordeal...my poor wrists :( It was fun though, but I still prefer badminton.

Hmm

Time for a piece! Here is Old trees and little lakes by Tickclick
Wheee! Is it one tree? Or a village? Or a forest? It is so creative! :D Reminds me, for some reason, of the Ents in Lord of the Rings XD Loving the colour palette, it really blends well together
Stellar effort!DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-44142292458805403262013-01-05T19:11:00.000+11:002013-01-05T19:11:23.344+11:00Early OwlToday, I woke at 6:45am! XD The waking up part is the hardest, after that, you feel so good. Feeling full of energy right now. And the weather is nice too, a good change from the sweltering 40 degrees of yesterday.

I'm a winter person through and through.

It's been a long while since the last blog entry. Not that anyone cares :D

Let's get straight to it.

Here is a really cute piece, Carriage by Ishutani

Nawww, it's so cute XD I just don't know what else to say. I like the colours in this piece, the steel-grey and red meld really well.

Here's another really cool piece, Chase by bpsola

Reminds me a lot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turltes haha. Love it! The pace. The colours. The vibrancy. The action. The blur is perfect. The city scene magnificent. Nothing better than a high-speed thriller ride in the dead of night, with the pretty city lights behind you, and your death looming ahead of you...

Okay, maybe not the death bit :O

But damn, it's beautiful!DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-14341668125825078312012-12-25T21:13:00.001+11:002012-12-25T21:13:43.878+11:00Topping the WorldOn my quest to becoming a pro-cook, today I made my first pizza from scratch :D
Actually, two of them!

On them, there was capsicum, mushroom, onions, pineapple, tomatoes, oregano and lots of cheeeeese!

The crust was a bit thin at some places, but overall, the pizza was okay :)
Just need more experience.

Here's a rather quaint piece, titled Bipolar by tvurk

Reminds me a lot of the yin-yang duality. Light and dark. Good and bad. One half seems to signify the evil side of stuff, the other side portraying the good. LOL, this is just my interpretation, my poor twisted mind. Death and growth...

Mmmm....brains :DDisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-69075682280860809752012-12-23T18:44:00.001+11:002012-12-23T18:44:29.938+11:00Whatever doesn't kill me...had better start runningThe title of the blog is a rather funny quote I found from the novel ' City of Glass' from the Mortal Instruments series - definitely check it out!

Looking forward to the cool change, after today being 40 degrees! :D Cold weather is my forte

What can we talk about today?

Naah, to hot to talk about anything. Instead, let's look at two wonderful pieces.

Here is Star kingdom planet by arsenixc

So much detail in this picture! Imagine our cities in the fitire, looking like that! Who knows, it may come to pass. The only thing I don't like about this picture is the colour scheme. But the artists knows best, not some peasant like me XD

And here is Engie's nightmare by alexiuss

I love it! The colours are really good at conveying a moody, grim scene. The image just looks so cooool XD Reminds me a tad of Metro 2033, the game involving post-apocalyptic Russia.

So many talented people out there!DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-40957111769290376512012-12-20T21:46:00.002+11:002012-12-20T21:46:37.329+11:00Hero TeenagersI made my first coffee today on the coffee machine :D They tasted horrible, like hydrochloric acid, but still, it is a start! :D I aim on becoming a very skilled coffee maker. At least I can try and be good at something.

Here is a cute coffee :3

Naww, what a cutie XD
Back to values and skills. Actually, maybe not. Let's talk about something else.

I asked a friend "What is the biggest problem with today's society?"
The friend said 'Entitlement'

And if I interpret his reply correctly, I think I agree. I was listening to people today sulking about how bad their coffee is, and abusing the maker and all. Seriously. People make mistakes. They were getting the coffees for free as well. We all make mistakes and learn. I also found an interesting quote in a book, I think it was "City of Bones" (really good series, read it!)

It was something along the lines of "Every teenager thinks they are some noble hero, born into the wrong family"

It is true, we don't appreciate our family and friends. Think we are entitled to everything we want.

I'll stop there for now XD

Found a loveeeely piece today, here is Nostalgia from 2128 by JonathanP45

Really cute image. Really detailed too. Reminds me a bit of the game Metro 2033, where Russian survivors of a nuclear war bunker down in the only safe place - underground in the metro.
The damage in this image, the leaks, the colour all remind me of the game XD

Really lovely picture. My favourite parts are definitely the detail and colour :)DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-84369655616222880972012-12-19T21:58:00.001+11:002012-12-19T21:58:20.376+11:00Cleaner DeanerI think I have some sort of OCD about cleanliness. I love keeping my room sparkling. Love throwing clothes into the washing machine :P It just makes me feel better, more pure D:

I'd love to see Singapore. Isn't it one of the cleanest cities in the world? Yumm!

*looks around at messy room*

Ok, I should get back to work :3

Before I depart, I shall leave a nice work of art here, Sunset by iancjw

Those trees (I assume) are so beautiful! <3DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-60096783755439868582012-12-18T23:12:00.003+11:002012-12-18T23:12:57.487+11:00Art of MovementSo, back to DisaFear's self-piteous and boastful blog entries XD

A skill that I admire in anyone is grace.

The art of movement.

Fluid movement.

I love this so much. Effortlessly negotiating crowds. Terrific footwork to swivel. Leaping off stairs to land gracefully at the bottom. Radiating confidence. Radiating aura. Reflexes. Reacting to changes in the environment instantaneously. Constant vigilance (Harry Potter! Remember it? XD )

I don't know what made me so interested in fluid movement. Then there's parkour and free-running, love those. All beautiful. Maybe its all those thriller books I read. Or the video games? Dishonoured? Gosh. You guys are thinking I am crazy :D

(I am by the way :D )

Even ballet interests me now, with its awesome footwork. Sports as well, like badminton, tennis, etc, all have terrific footwork to go with them

There are many things of beauty in this world. And I think 'graceful movement' is one of them. And I will become a master of it one day XD

LOL. Look at me, babbling such nonsense. :D

Found a wonderful piece today, titled Taking Control by MildlyReactive

The colours are just AMAZING! I don't know what else to say. You guys surely know me well by now, I loooove city scenes. The urban scene. Just gets me all excited :D Love this so much!

DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-79101864886084582912012-12-17T20:24:00.000+11:002012-12-17T20:24:52.997+11:00Mind MapSo, enough blogs about my boring days. Let's start discussing some values.

How about values or skills that I may possess that I deeply value in others?
I'll do one for today.

Hmm, what to pick on.

Maybe memory.

I just realised that I may have a decent memory. So many people say "Oh, I'm bad with names". I realised that I can remember names pretty well. In my class of 30 people, I think I knew the names of at least 12 people in the first two days. :D

Memory is a good skill to have. Of course, everyone knows that! I love memorising maps XD Just walking with friends, guiding them around places with just your brain, a cool thing to do XD

Let us move on to the picture. Here is Sharkcarrier by Kamikaye

Beautiful work of art! The colours really remind me of the Protoss sect from Starcraft. The 'carrier' itself is wonderfully detailed! The clouds and ambient scenery are very pretty; I really like how the birds were added.

:D

DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-91162004829996039152012-12-14T23:19:00.001+11:002012-12-14T23:19:43.110+11:00Bosy BeeSo busy! Need to write blogs! But no time! Zomg.
I promise I'll write a real blog entry on Sunday. A real one. Not just my dodgy day events. I'll try...

Just quick news, been reading the first book of 'The Mortal Instruments' series, very good! Love triangle replaced by a 'love pentagon' haha!

D: Regina Spektor is playing in the city tonight D:DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-53279242150014299142012-12-10T16:41:00.000+11:002012-12-10T16:41:08.956+11:00Ity in HospitalSo today was the first day of my training for the Certificate in Hospitality.
It wasn't as great as I thought it'd be. But it was okay! The people were okay.
It'll get more fun as time goes by :)

Here is some wonderful fractal art, One Million and Two by dainbramage1

I've seen a lot of fractal art before; to me, they were just stuff that looked cool, like cool patterns with cool colours. This, however, seems to have its own storyline! (At least to me)
Really reminds me of clockwork for some reason. Really nice piece :)DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-77713740705056613932012-12-05T23:01:00.000+11:002012-12-05T23:01:32.500+11:00MockingjayStarting a course next week to get a Certificate in Hospitality :D Who knows, silly little DisaFear may find a job soon! :D Looking forward to acquiring some new skills. It is free too, government funded, so yay!

Been reading the Hunger Game series, really interesting and fun. But it acutely reminds me of someone I loved and lost... :(

Also watched Skyfall the other day, didn't see what the hype was all about. Maybe I'm just used to novels, where they have lots of time to explain what goes on. That movie had a really dodgy storyline -.-

Here is le guerisseur de cathedrale by ourlak

That is just stunning. The whole atmosphere is so vibrant! The colours are wonderful, the blue tinge suits it perfectly. The building itself is very majestic. Such pro talent...wish I had some.

Speaking of which, I may start a new project soon :)
But reall,y on a hot day, nothing beats some nice orange juice :D

Went to the city today for some dinner. Why do girls these days dress so poorly? At least 70% of them look so so so bad. What is our world coming to? You don't need to dress like that to be paid attention to by males. Gosh. And it's just the shallow guys anyway. Oh well. Society does what it thinks is best.

The Hobbit movie comes out in a few weeks! I remember reading that book back in Grade 8, still sits on my shelf somewhere! Excellent read, everyone go read it and watch the movie when it comes out! :D

Today's magnificent piece of art is Lustful escape by bpsola

Ooo the terror in the image. Facing off against this giant warrior, with just two small machine pistols. Maybe the hero is just buying time until the big guns can come in! I really love the small details in this piece, the dust trail from the bike and plane, it's really nicely added. The machines themselves are pretty detailed themselves. Overall, a nice piece :)
Can't do anything fun on a hot day. I sweat too much :(

Slowly recovering from the traps of my mind. It will take a while. But everything does. Who knows what the future holds.

Still unsuccessful in finding a job! Zomg. Why won't you hire poor uni students? :( Maybe I can find a job as a labourer. Get all fit at the same time :D

On top of that, my bike tyre seems to have popped. There goes my whole fitness schedule D;

At least I have a nice dinner to look forward to tomorrow night in the city :)

Been reading more Matthew Reilly books lately, he is so amazing. Definitely one of my favourite Australian authors. If anyone even reads these, go check him out! Just finished Area 7 for the 6-7th time, it is still as pro as ever

Going to try and read The Hunger Games next, see if it is as good as everyone says it is :)

Here is a spectacular piece, Hummingbird by radoxist

Yes, yes, everyone looks forward to holidays. But 2-3 days in, you feel it. You can't have fun forever. Fun costs money. And not all people swim in wads of cash.

Been out for the past 3 days, so decided to stay at home today. And bored. Oh well. :D

Here is a really cute image, can you play with me? by Mummy-fei

At first glance, you'd go "Naww, how cute!"
But...does the image hide something sinister? Is that...man...a manipulator? What are those strings for?
Who knows? :DDisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-52133094145935863782012-11-22T23:42:00.001+11:002012-11-22T23:42:45.947+11:00Letting it all goWhat shall I rant about today?

Hm..

Tattoos and piercings.

Honestly, do people think covering half their body with ink is cool? Not my place to argue with them, but why? In the years to come, regret will appear around the corner.
Then there was the guy who put ink in one of his eyeballs. Seriously?

And piercings. Having bits of metal protruding out of the lips. Or nose. Why? I just don't get it.
Some people can pull off eat-studs well. But other piercings just look horrible. Especially those massive ear extendable thingys.

Gross.

I found an amazing piece of art today. Here is Mandira by JonasDeRo

I don't know where to start. It is simply breath-taking. The colours are epic. The red glows and hues are amazing. The buildings themselves are wonderfully detailed. The scene itself in the image is spectacular; seems to me like the bustle of a market at its closing hour. As everyone heads home at the end of the day.

Just. Love. It.DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-62847355726429766162012-11-21T18:50:00.000+11:002012-11-21T18:50:10.407+11:00Summer WindsThere's a beautiful breeze outside :) So refreshing after the hot day that was yesterday.
Walked out of Kmart today with two strollers and lots of toy cars. Not for me of course...but the audience don't know that D: Probably thought I was some crazy young teen father D:

What can I rant about today?

Hm.

Smokers.

Why do they do it? Stress? Trend? Really?
There are other much better ways to relieve stress. Really. Google it up and I'm sure you will live to see some grandchildren.

Cool? Really? If your friends find smoking cool, they are not friends at all. Friends do not seek to bestow early death upon their loved ones.

There are much cooler things in the world than a cigarette and early death. Motorbikes? Cooking? Breakdancing? Endless list...

Ooo, I have a new-found passion in cooking :D After these holidays, I will become a master-chef :D

Here is a nice piece, Cold Breath Speedpaint by YukkaWerewolf

So pro! The sky is a perfect blend of colours, so moody and nice :) The weather looks soo cold, just by looking at it, yum, shivers down my spine :D That poor person, gazing at the horizon, looking for...something...
Naturally, with a smartphone around, need to bring in some wireless internets to the house, so I went ahead and bought a router. Now there's radio waves buzzing around my head :D

And for anyone I know reading this, who knows about certain stuff, it's getting closer!! :D

Here is a pro piece called Friday painting---- the big catch
Such a wonderful painting! Poor fishy, sitting on the land, not knowing what to do! "Wut? Land? Wut do i do on land?" it says D:
The colours are beautiful :)DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-85766832899703134282012-11-19T14:28:00.000+11:002012-11-19T14:28:11.658+11:00Clouds of the CityI just discovered the beauty of ginger tea today :D tastes and smells pretty good. Normally, I'm just a milk/sugar tea person, plopping in 2 teaspoons of sugar and gulping it down. Bit it seems like I will have to start experimenting more.

And I made potato chips last night! Chef in the making :P

Here is an amazing piece, Han by *JonasDeRo
The mood is lovely. As I've said many times before, I love cities! And there's nothing better to add to that than a beautiful tinge of orange from the sunset :D
Wish I could be there right now, strolling the streets with someone special :)DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-43956151639480511012012-11-18T19:50:00.000+11:002012-11-18T19:50:22.512+11:00Post-Exam WorldWell, exams are now over :D

Currently writing a resume, gosh, I need more co-curricular activities! Need to get more involved in volunteering and stuff :(

Also, I think I saw a meteorite the other night! There was this big yellow flash, and I distinctly saw something heading down towards the ground D:Surely, it wasn't a plane, it'd be all over the news. Nor a UFO :P

Also, I got a new phone today :D A big step up from the Nokia brick that I possessed since forever :D

Check this piece out, a rather unreal and eerie scene, titled they made me do it by =marcocasalvieri
It reminds me of a famous piece, the name eludes me. This image has a mystical twirl to it, the colours of the fire fantastic :D Is the guy trapped? Is he waiting for someone or something? What does the antler/deer/moose think of the whole situation? Is it the mastermind behind this scene? Amazing resource, wish I had discovered it during my school years. Even now in Uni, it is helping so much! Currently watching the videos on Cosmology/Astronomy in preparation for my first year Astro subject, helping so much! :D

Which is my last exam.
After which comes a very long holiday.

I don't like long holidays :(

Better find a job quick

Stumbled on an amazing piece today on dA. Here is Moscow Ruins by JonasDeRo
The amount of detail in this image is stunnnninnggg! The atmosphere and colours are amazing, I really like the sky (me being one of those people who favours cloudy days)
The arrangement of the birds is precise, fits in perfectly

So much talent in the world :D Love ittttDisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-48341276309326664702012-11-06T20:27:00.004+11:002012-11-06T20:27:37.113+11:00Raining RubbishSociety is getting more and more vulgar. It seems very very acceptable to swear and be rude to others these days. At the top of their voices. On the train. In the future, it'll probably be normal :/

A pleasant rainy day today, with a nice touch of thunder :D Would love to be snuggled in bed, hearing the rain-drops fall. But exams :O Feeling sort of ready...sort of

And today was Melbourne Cup Day! The day when people fork out thousands of dollars just to look stupid and think they are a big piece of cheese in a little world. Gosh. Use your money on something more productive.

People these days D;

Fitting in with the cloudy weather, today's piece is Assassin's Guide by jcbarquet
The colour is beauuuutttiiiifullll <3 I particualrly love the tinge on the windows, nice teal glow. The sky is perfect, the birds roaming in the sky a brilliant touch. The reflections of the windows on the water are wonderfully done. Pristine image, very very good. :DDisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-47778582749485497732012-11-04T12:56:00.001+11:002012-11-04T12:56:11.576+11:00A Memory of LightYay, very soon, the final book in the legendary series 'Wheel of Time' will be out! How long I have waited! :D

Hey you guys. Go read Wheel of time! :D
Honestly one of my favourite series of all time. Many people find it too descriptive, too long, but setting the atmosphere and mood is all part of good novels.

In other news...hm, let me think up of good news...I don't know, I am feeling pro once again, in a long time. Something good happened yesterday :D

*capers*

Let us venture out of this world, into Space station by gypcg
The tinge of colours on the heavens is beautiful! :D The structure itself is very well thought out, looks amazing. Could this be the future? Only time will tell XD
The only thing I'm not fond of is the terrain itself, but the artist knows best! :DDisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-31706358710865175852012-11-02T22:57:00.000+11:002012-11-02T22:57:05.364+11:00Let them eat cakeSometimes, I feel jealous of all the world
And sometimes, I feel contempt for the world.

Why? Do people have things that I will never have? And, sometimes, do they knowingly make fools out of themselves?

Hmm.

Another day passes, and the newspaper reveals more and more bad news. Why do pedos exist? What fun do they get out of it? D:

Why are celebrities such bad people?

Eh.

Piece of today is City 2159 by nigelhimself
The style of painting is wonderful. I really love the colours used in this one, the red and black meld really nice, and contrast each other where appropiate.
The concept behind the image is pro too, really love the look of the buildings/towers

Excellent piece :D DisaFearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14457496365814181647noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30414392259101722.post-66706832030717774982012-10-29T22:48:00.000+11:002012-10-29T22:48:22.165+11:00Going FishingYay, Chem exam over and done with. The style of painting is amaaaazing. The blurry feeling adds a lot of depth to it, I feel. The lone armoured soldier stands, pondering whether to cross or not.
