Stellar Blob

Before taking up Astronomy as a subject at Uni, I never knew that it was possible to view parts of the Milky Way Galaxy with the naked eye.

As with most other city people, our skies don't show much other than the random star here and there, like splatterings of ink across the night sky.

But then, Astro came along, and showed me sights like this.

That is just spectacular. One day, I need to view this for myself. Amazing.

Fluffy Flowers

Another thing about warmer seasons - smelly flowers!

Walking past blooming flowers nearly kills me, firstly, there's the horrendous smell. Secondly, there's buzzing bees everywhere!

The environment is just stunningly beautiful. The slight tinges of aqua-blue create a mysteriously futuristic aura. The design of the flying ship is wonderful. The atmosphere is spectacular, loving the orange tinge on one side, and a more darker atmosphere on the right hand side of the image.

So much talent in this tiny world of ours. Love the hue selected for this piece. The spread of shorter and taller buildings is precise, perfect. The faint splattering of black lines look like birds to me, but whatever they are, they are aesthetically pleasing :D

Woes of Society

There was an interesting poster at Monash today about how 'smartphones are making people dumber' and 'students are failing' due to it. Most probably true. Gosh. Every second person you turn to look at is poking at their little gadget, separated from the immediate world.
What happened to reading books? What happened to smiling at people? These may disappear completely in the near future.

Oh well.

Today, I had my first genuine cooking experience! I'd really love to learn how to cook, but I am terrible at it.

Anyways, stirred up a beautiful dish of vegetable stir-fry noodles, with capsicum, peas, corn, onions and other stuff I have forgotten. Good times :D

Farewell Winter

And spring has begun in this place known as Australia. Will miss winter, the cozy, cuddly season where you can run through the rain, and snuggle in front of the heater. But time stops for no one!
